Fresh From Above

...at 6:15 last night I get a text, "he's out" My boys all yell "yeah, another boy cousin!" My sister Kelli had her second child yesterday. One of my other sisters, Jen, and I made a late night visit to the hospital to see our new nephew. I love new newborns so fresh from above, you know they know so much more than we do and seem so wise those first few hours after birth, if they could only talk. We had a great visit and we tried to keep down the noise, but you know when those Evans sisters get together things get a little loud:) Warning this is a long post... enjoy the sweetness!

I love how Kelli and T's heads are at the exact same angle in this picture.

When you deliver after dinner the hospital doesn't give you much to eat, so we brought up my form of nutrition- chocolate shakes! As you can see they were quickly gone.

Urban boy

On Saturday I attempted the impossible- trying to get photos of all of the boys together in one photo for our Christmas card- not sure if I got one. But I did get some cute ones of the boys by themselves. My photog friend Jess came along and we took some of her kids as well. I will post more later. I love collaberating with other photographers- there are so many great ones in Utah! Here are a couple of 5 year old M, he totally cheeses up for my camera. Love the urban style.

What have I been up to??

Taking lots and lots of photos- I was a photographer for two preschools in the last 7 days! That is in addition to my normal fall family photo rush that happens in Utah each year at this time. Here are some recent favorites. If you are wanting to schedule fall photos book soon as I am almost full until the beginning of the year! What do you think of my new blog borders? One is white and is hard to see- sorry.

Fun Photo Shoot- Thanks Bev

A little while ago a fellow photog and friend Bev, www.bevrobison.blogspot.com , invited me to do a photo session of her brother's family with her. This family was great. We also did photos of her mom and her aunt. They had so much funk and were up for anything, so much fun! Thanks Bev!

Goodbye Summer

This past Monday was Labor Day and the unofficial end to summer. Here in Utah it was cold and a harsh reminder summer has come to an end. So here is a list of our goodbyes..

goodbye swim races with cousins-peace dude!

goodbye summer birthday parties- we have 3 each summer
goodbye warm evenings at REAL soccer games-ok we only made it to one this summer, but hey it was the one where David Beckham came to town, and to answer my hubbie's question "yes he really is that cute"
goodbye soccer tournaments- ok not so sad to say goodbye to this one :)
goodbye to the quest for the perfect cannonball
Hello to fall soccer, BYU games (yeah we are 2-0), hoodies, sweaters, leaves, pumpkins,
school-ugh homework-the "what should we be for Halloween" discussions, and my favorite thing I hear "how many days til Christmas"

we will miss you summer..till next year ...

Down and Derby

It was pinewood derby time for our cub scouts. It was also T's last pack meeting as he is now 11 and moving into boy scouts. This was the last time we would have two boys in cubs, thus the last time Blaine had to help build two pinewood derby cars. There were 2o cub scouts and their families, so it was pretty loud and crazy.

The dads making sure every car was lined up correctly.

T took 3rd place and J took 7th place- way to go boys. T also received his arrow of light award that evening.
